At Nef Foundation, we aim to increase social benefit, pass on awareness of sensitivity to future generations, and act with the mission of making a lasting difference in people’s lives. We believe in the importance of adding value to lives, being a solution to problems, and making a difference with our actions, and we carry out our work accordingly.

Our projects in the field of culture and arts are among the most prominent activities that help us realize our mission. We took our first step in this area by establishing the Nef Philharmonic Orchestra in 2018 , and we are happy to reach thousands of people with the universal language of music. With the concerts we organize both nationally and internationally, we aim to ensure that valuable works and personalities who have left their mark on society are constantly remembered and that our cultural heritage is kept alive for generations.

Another important initiative in the field of culture and arts is the Nef Foundation Kenan Rifâî International Sufi Research Center, which you are currently visiting. In our center, we fulfill the function of being a multifaceted research institution by protecting intangible cultural heritage, conducting national/international scientific studies, exhibiting original collections and artifacts on the subject, and continuing educational activities such as conferences.

We strive to continuously expand our sphere of influence by cooperating with private/public institutions and organizations that pursue the public interest, as well as universities, museums and institutes in Turkey and abroad.

With the cooperation protocol we signed with the Kerim Education, Culture and Health Foundation , which works in the same field as our research center, we bring you the Meşkûre Sargut Collection, which is under the auspices of the Kerim Foundation, a collector registered with the Museum of Turkish and Islamic Arts, in our exhibition halls.

Again, with the protocol we signed with Üsküdar University, we carry out joint studies with Üsküdar University Sufi Studies Institute, which provides education in the same field.

In addition to the library of Sufi works in our center, which was endowed to the Research Center by the Kerim Foundation, we provide you with online access to the database of Üsküdar University Library within the framework of our protocols.

Within the scope of the graduate programs of the Institute of Sufi Studies, we host courses on the history of Islamic civilization and Sufi culture in accordance with the planned calendar; we apply the hybrid education model with the technical equipment of our classroom.
