In our exhibition hall, which is advised by Prof. Dr. Reşat Öngören from the Institute of Sufi Studies, you will find yourself wandering through those periods with graphics, objects and installations that explain the history of Sufism through concepts.

You will be able to trace the classification of Sufi life and thought, which started with the Prophet (pbuh), through the characteristics that have become prominent throughout Islamic history; in this framework, you will be able to breathe the air of the asr al-saâdat period through the life of “suffe” and “cardigan”, and the period of asceticism through “love and love”. You will be able to recognize the attitudes of “futüvvet” and “melāmah” that accompanied Sufism in the next period when the name Sufism came to be used; you will be able to follow the process in which the stages of Sufi education called sülûk, tarîqat and dhikr procedures were formed and recorded. You will be able to examine the source of Sufi knowledge (discovery) with the training etiquette and manners, and the view of “tawhid” depending on the Sufi understanding of existence (wujud) by approaching the literature formed until today from a broad perspective.
